One day you might:
Have breakfast at local favorite Hot Brew, close to the motels and Kenmar freeway exit.
Head South on Hwy 101 for a glorious drive through the Redwoods on Avenue of the Giants.
On the way back or to the Hotel, stop at Historic Scotia Inn for lunch at the pub. Try their very popular cashew chicken salad, Humboldt grass-fed beef Hamburger or low-fat Turkey burger.
Just north of Scotia on the west side of the State Highway 101 is Chapman’s Mineral Shop and Museum. Don’t let the plain exterior keep you away…it’s enchanting inside the doors.
Stop for a beer at America’s first certified organic brewery—Eel River Brewing Co. Walking distance from most of the motels, Eel River Brewing has sports on three televisions inside as well as covered outdoor seating in the beer garden.
If you are here on the first Friday of the month, Downtown is open late with businesses featuring local music and art.
Up for an evening of entertainment? Bear River Casino is only seven minutes north on Highway 101. Bear River Casino even has a non-smoking building that includes slots and black-jack.
