DAFF MANIA! The Daffodil Show is held at the River Lodge Conference Center and brings more than 900 visitors from the community and out of state.

The children and businesses of Fortuna welcome the show and the spring flowers it celebrates with a kind of art show all over town. Children from Kindergarten to Junior High make hundreds of flower themed art pieces in the weeks before the fest. Shops, offices and other businesses display the flower artwork in the week before and after the festival.

The Daffodil Show brings in about 600-900 flowers each year ranging from single flowers to multiple flower arrangements.

The Daffodil Show is associated with the American Daffodil Society and the National Council of State Garden Clubs. Each year the Daffodil Society of the Pacific Region set the dates for all of the pacific region shows consecutively while taking into consideration the weather and climate for each show's location. The Fortuna Daffodil Shows are usually set around the third weekend in March. The shows are not only pre-chosen when they will occur by, there are also guidelines set up by these associations the garden clubs must follow when putting on horticultural shows.
